A Virginia native, Dr. Baker is thrilled to be returning home and joining the Charlottesville community! With nearly a decade of experience serving in the United States Army Dental Corps, as well as experience in private practice and dental education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for providing excellent endodontic care.

Dr. Baker’s journey in dentistry began at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from VCU School of Dentistry. She continued her training with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, followed by an Endodontic Residency through the U.S. Army Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She also earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

During her time in the Army, Dr. Baker served at Fort Bliss in Texas as an Endodontic Mentor for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program and as an Assistant Professor with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Her dedication to endodontics and service earned her numerous military honors, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal. After nearly a decade of service, Dr. Baker separated Honorably from Active Duty with the rank of Major.

Dr. Baker is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, having completed the rigorous process to become Board Certified in Endodontics. She is passionate about combining her clinical experience, advanced training, and dedication to patient care to help patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their endodontic experience.

After six years in Texas, Dr. Baker is especially excited to return home to Virginia and once again enjoy the ocean and mountains! Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her family and her beautiful Goldendoodle, Daxton. She is excited to call Virginia home again and begin serving the Charlottesville community!
