Associations

American Association of Endodontists: A national organization representing the specialty of endodontics, or root canal treatment.

Virginia Dental Association (VDA): A non-profit organization, whose vision is to continually improve the quality of dental education and treatment within the state of Virginia. The VDA is affiliated with the American Dental Association (ADA).

American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM): A non-profit organization that provides a community for dental office managers and practice administrators across the nation.

With the best practices regularly changing, connecting with industry leaders and your peers is a great way to stay on top of leading trends and innovations in dental practice management.

Whether you are the office manager, practice administrator, or the dentist, if you are responsible for the management of a dental practice, AADOM is a great community to plug into.

Richmond AADOM Chapter: A recognized and approved extension of the National Association. The Richmond Chapter aims to be the best resource for administrative dental professionals in the greater Richmond and surrounding areas, in order to network and grow as innovative leaders.

The Richmond Chapter provides relevant, high quality continuing education in a collaborative and encouraging environment. They meet several times a year to discuss the hottest topics within the dental profession. If you want to be the greatest in your position, you can become a member of this Chapter today.

American Academy of Periodontology: The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) is an 8,400-member professional organization for periodontists. AAP is made up of specialists in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth, and in the placement of dental implants.

American Association of Women Dentists: An association dedicated to enhancing and promoting participation and leadership for women in organized dentistry.

American Dental Association – ADA Online: An association providing access to news, publications, products, and services related to dental health.

American Medical Association: An association with links to consumer health information, vast AIDS information center, searchable database of more than 650,000 physicians.

International Association of Dental Traumatology: The IADT is a professional organization. Their mission is to promote excellent prevention and treatment service in the field of traumatic dental injuries. They accomplish this through interaction with dental and medical colleagues, the public, and interested parties in education, sports, industry and appropriate governmental agencies.

Societies

American Dental Society of Anesthesiology: The ADSA was founded in 1953, and is a 5,000-member non-profit society dedicated to continuing education, and the advancement of anesthesia and sedation science.

Richmond Dental Society: A non-profit organization, whose vision is to continually improve the quality of dental education and treatment, serving Richmond, VA and the surrounding area.

Our members exemplify the highest ideals of the profession of dentistry. The RDA helps foster camaraderie among members as well as other health professionals. The membership includes general practitioners, as well as dental specialists.
